BREAKING: NEW TROUBLES FOR EDO APC AS INEC INTRODUCES MORE BVAS MACHINES IN EVIDENCE
…PDP Concludes Case Amid Protests by APC Lawyers
New challenges have emerged for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Governor Monday Okpebholo at the Edo Governorship Election Petition Tribunal. On February 3rd, 2024, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) presented additional BVAS Machines as evidence, reinforcing the PDP’s allegations of over-voting.
The submission of the new BVAS machines sparked loud protests from APC lawyers, who were caught off guard by the unexpected move.
With the BVAS machines now admitted into evidence, the PDP’s legal team officially wrapped up their case, stating that the evidence they had presented was sufficient to prove their claims.
Caught off guard and stunned by the developments, lawyers representing INEC, the APC, and Governor Okpebholo requested that the Tribunal grant them additional time to prepare and present their own case.
